November 18-20, 2014
It was a great week for the Pioneer Pipeline. Students and peer mentors made some great memories this week before everyone goes on break for Thanksgiving. The students and peer mentors all celebrated Thanksgiving together by having Thanksgiving lunch in Gilman on Thursday. Josie, Chris Thrasher, Cassy, and DJ got to sign the truck that was transporting an 80 foot Christmas tree to Washington DC! The truck is hauling the tree across the country which will eventually end up at the White House. Josie also got to see Smokey the Bear. Cassy and Josie also got to go to the Humane Society in Marietta. Josie got to walk dogs! Anna and Carsyn also had very busy weeks at their jobs. Carsyn continued his duties behind the Dyson Baudo Recreation Center and continuing the go to art class. He is doing exceptionally well at both. Anna made a card for her supervisor this week. Anna won’t be coming next week because she will be at Disney World. We are all very jealous. Bryant has continued working at McDonalds and is doing very well. He is starting to work faster and is making friends with other employees. Trevor came out again this week and spent Friday afternoon with us during OT. Levi has continued his duties with campus police. Everyone in the station has loved having Levi around. He has made some friends during his work. Ashton is starting to get more comfortable on Marietta’s campus. Ashton and her peer mentor Taryn walked some laps around the track at Dyson Baudo and had a great Thanksgiving lunch at Gilman. Ashton has a job lined up next semester cleaning lobbies of Harrison and Fayerweather Hall. These jobs will start second semester and we are all very excited for her to start. Overall, it was a great and busy week for everyone.
