January 20th and 22nd
The second week of the spring semester for the Pioneer Pipeline was a success. Peer mentors and participants had a lot of fun this week participating in various activities around campus and at their internships. One highlight of the week was everyone playing racquetball in the Marietta College rec center. The kids and peer mentors spent some quality time with each other and getting some exercise. Chris Thrasher and his peer mentor Samantha took a trip downtown for Chris to continue his internship at the Original Pizza Place. Chris’s duties consist of cleaning tables and washing dishes. Levi and his new peer mentor Lauren spent their first day together getting to know each other. Bryant and his peer mentor Justin continued Bryant’s internship at McDonald’s and are starting to get to know each other very well. Lauren and her peer mentor Natalie spent some time in Erwin Hall playing on the iPads and spending quality time together. Like every week everyone met in Gilman to eat lunch together. The kids were very active around campus this week and got to experience a lot of new things. The peer mentors are very active and engaging with the students.
