September 15-17
Today was a very exciting week for Pioneer Pipeline. Students had a lot of fun with their mentors and did various activities on campus and around the community. Bryant and his mentor Trevor went to Harrison where they baked a cake for Samantha’s birthday. Lauren and Emily did a science experiment with gummy worms and water. Lauren, Jade, and Ashton with their mentors painted their nails inside the blue house. Tuesday, Bryant started his new job at the recreation center cleaning windows. On Thursday, some students made a trip down to McDonald’s for a good breakfast. Thursday afternoon was very exciting. Stella had arranged for the class to visit the local fire station. Stella’s father is a firefighter for Marietta and was able to show our class the fire trucks and station. The students were able to see how the firefighters get ready and the equipment they need to do their job. It was a very eventful week for the kids and really enjoyed their time with their mentors. Here are some pictures of the weeks’ events!
