It was an eventful week for the Pioneer Pipeline. Class was only on campus for one day this week because of Veteran’s Day, but we made the most out of it. The kids went their separate ways on Thursday. Half of the class went adventuring around Marietta. The CABL bus came and picked up students and peer mentors. The class went to Kroger’s where we bought supplies for the classroom and for our fundraiser. The peer mentors and students gathered the items we needed on the list and checked out. The rest of the class stayed on campus and went to their jobs. Bryant continued working at McDonald’s and is starting to pick up the pace. He is getting faster and cleaning tables and trays. His positive attitude has led to him making friends with his coworkers. We are all very proud of Bryant and his work ethic. Josie was happy to stay back and work. This week at Fish’n Stuff Josie and her peer mentor Cassy fed the rats and refilled fish food shelves. Jade and Samantha worked at Subway on Thursday. Jade is starting to get quicker at her daily job chores as well. Her sweeping and washing tables is starting to be faster and her coworkers are noticing her work. “Jade is doing a great job, and we love having her around,” her boss told us this week. It was very busy at the Pizza Place this week for Chris Thraser. Chris washed his tables and was on his way back to campus.
